Organic Growth
Parker works with management to develop a realistic organic growth program. Real organic growth happens when the organization is focused in the most productive areas, when the organization understands the corporations objectives, and when the entire organization understands their role in accomplishing those objectives. It begins with a Plan that establish corporate direction in areas that are likely to produce fruit. Parker assists in the development of a Plan that leadership believes in, and is behind. When leadership is behind the Plan, Parker can assist in communicating the Plan to the organization with confidence and conviction.
Based on this, specific growth responsibilities are assigned to operational managers with visible accountability for leveraging the organization in the marketplace. Parker works with the organization to instill an awareness of the power of current revenues that the operators are touching to position and grow the company. Parker works with management to develop a growth culture around current programs, and then extends that to a new business program which leverages real distinction into fertile areas. Parker works with management to establish Corporate Experience objectives on current contracts that are needed to build the business consistent with the Plan (Deliver 2-Win). In addition, Parker works with management to establish hiring objectives on current contracts (based on the Plan) to support add-on/follow-on as well as new business pursuits (Hire 2-Win).
Parker Strategic builds organic growth plans that are based on defining or creating distinction that can be applied to series of strategic bid opportunities. These plans are grounded in specific series of pursuits based on a detailed assessment of the market and the companies capabilities, and not just general trends. Parker defines concrete and achievable specific objectives based on market realities, near term and longer term opportunities, and company capabilities that have been refined and made relevant to those opportunities.
Integration and Performance of Acquired Growth
Parker’s assistance to management in the integration and performance of acquired growth begins before the business is acquired as businesses are targeted that are likely to be well integrated. These businesses are those that relate well to the client’s core business and its strategic direction. By targeting and acquiring consistent with strategic direction, the client should be acquiring companies that help the parent organization be successful in current and targeted pursuits (Acquire 2-Win). This will create excitement and be motivating to both the acquiring and the acquired entity. The best test of the fit that Parker performs is the development of an integrated Strategic Plan before the acquisition is finalized. This Plan assists everyone with both organizations understand the fit and their roles and responsibilities in successful integration and performance before the acquisition is completed. As the process and plans are developed and briefed to the entity being acquired, the real cultures become more evidently contrasted, and cultural risks are exposed for consideration and mitigation.
